• Structural Strengthening of a floor Slab with FRP

Project Description:
The Lycée du Sidobre situated in the city of Castres was undergoing major rehabilitation works. A section of the slab of the first floor needed to be strengthened. A conventional approach (Steel structure) was not really feasible as there were many issues (architectural, mechanical etc)
Fibrwrap France designed a solution with the application of Tyfo Carbon FRP system which met with the client requirements. Tyfo SCH-11UP was applied on the top of the slab according to the design.
The project was completed in three days and entailed the restoration of the substrate area with resin based mortar following with the application of Tyfo Carbon fiber. The client was satisfied by the fast, economical solution.
