Project: Shear Strengthening and Axial Enhancement of Le Bristol Hotel

• Shear Strengthening using Tyfo SCH-41

Project Description:
One of the most luxurious hotels In Beirut, Le Bristol Hotel, was rehabilitated and refurbished. During the inspection it was discovered that the strength of concrete was lower than the one recommended by the designer.
An engineering solution with application of Externally Bonded FRP System was proposed and Fibrwrap FRP system was chosen. The design was carried out as per ACI 440 2R-08
Fibrwrap Lebanon was able to complete the project in only one week completely satisfying the client requirements for a fast, reliable and economical solution. Also all architectural limitations in regard with dimensions were met due to the negligible increase of thickness of the structural elements.
