Scope of Works:
• Shear and Flexural enhancement of beams to accommodate new increased service loads
• Repair of concrete piles of piers

Project Description:
Fibrwrap Construction Inc. provided a design-build proposal based on the engineer’s performance requirements. This was for a 50ton rated pier to be able to sustain a fully operational 90 ton gantry crane.
Beams and piles of the pier were enhanced and repaired with the use of the Tyfo^® SEH-51A Glass Fiber with the use of the Tyfo^® SW-1 epoxy, specially developed for underwater curing.
The full scope of the project was successfully completed in 12 weeks.
The Tyfo^® SW-1 epoxy was also used as a finish coat on the beams in order to protect them from the rising tides.
