Project Description:
The City of Calgary has decided to complete a structural upgrade to the Bow River Bridge. A bridge analysis completed by the consulting engineers found that the existing girders were deficient in flexural and shear capacities and require additional reinforcement to meet the current loading conditions set forth in Alberta.  Fibrwrap Installations Limited offered their services to provide an innovative and cost-effective solution to meet these requirements.
Fibrwrap Installations Limited installed the uni-directional Fyfe Company Tyfo SCH-41^® fabric to supplement the required flexural and shear enhancement set forth by the consulting engineers.
Fibrwrap Installations Ltd. completed the Bow River Bridge project in a cost-effective manner ahead of schedule.
